Cloverland Farm, LLC

The historic Cloverland Farm (c. 1797) encompasses 1,000 acres of protected farmland situated in the heart of the “Rural Crescent” of Prince William County (PWC). In 1999, it was acquired by The Plains Redevelopment Corp (TPRC), a family-owned real estate holding company, with the intention of preserving open-space and agriculture. In this mission, Cloverland Farm sits alongside the Bull Run Mountain Natural Area Preserve, Silver Lake Regional Park, and Leopold’s Preserve. Cloverland Farm is further complimented by historic landmarks including the Chapman-Beverley Mill (c. 1742) and the African American community of Thoroughfare (c. 1865).

After decades of commercial farming, Cloverland Farm has embarked on a new chapter focused on restoration and conservation. Comprehensive plans include riparian area establishment, native habitat creation, historic preservation, and other related endeavors. Cloverland Farm, and the Rural Crescent, is the gateway to our Nation’s heritage: presidential homes, national parks, and cultural birthplaces. Any work undertaken will ensure that it remains a pillar of this entrance and the largest privately protected parcel in PWC.

TPRC, its shareholders, employees, and partners, bring immense capability and a proven track record in rural community preservation. With experience in over 3,000-acres of protected land in Fauquier County and other strategic conservation acquisitions in PWC, the organization is well-positioned to advance its committed stewardship of Cloverland Farm. TPRC is bold and proud to say, Cloverland Farm will be protected as historic farmland and native habitat in perpetuity.
